Time just wasn't on their side.

When the Karma was released, very few people were convinced in buying EV's, and the market was premature. Fast forward to 2018-2019 things have changed and now people want options beyond what automakers can keep up with.

The cost of electrical components has come down significantly over the past few years, particularly with battery packs. We are already seeing newer models that are coming close to breaking the $30k bracket.

Bigger companies are coming along and opening up segments which other brands don't have the capability to do. So that too presents new opportunities.
